ASTM A269/270/213 TP316 GRADE SS SMLS TUBE
Introduction
ASTM A269 TP316 is a molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel tube, designed for demanding corrosive and high-temperature applications. As part of the 316 family, it incorporates 2.0–3.0% molybdenum (Mo), significantly enhancing its resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chemical attack compared to non-molybdenum grades like TP304. The standard carbon content (≤0.08%) makes it suitable for applications where post-weld heat treatment is feasible or sensitization risks are managed.
